PROGRAM

The 2026 edition of Forum Facility is built on the understanding that the future of integrated services and Facility Management can no longer be addressed through traditional approaches. The growth of the built environment, technological evolution, and the need to ensure efficiency, safety, comfort, and sustainability require a new vision capable of bringing together design, management, and innovation.

Guiding this year's program are four verbs that represent the essential phases in the lifecycle of buildings and infrastructure: Design, Build, Care, and Prevent. These four interconnected actions invite all stakeholders across the value chain—planners, contractors, facility managers, service providers, and clients—to rethink models, processes, and skills in order to create a built environment that is more efficient, resilient, and sustainable over time.

Which Tools for an Effective Transformation?

The acceleration of urban growth, the expansion of the built environment, and the increasing demand for efficiency, safety, and sustainability are driving a profound transformation of Facility Management. This session will explore the tools that can support the evolution of the services and facility management sector, including process digitalization, artificial intelligence, automation, preventive maintenance, and integrated design.

Through a discussion of experiences, technologies, and innovative models, participants will examine how to make the management of buildings and services more efficient, improving performance, quality, and responsiveness to future challenges.

4:30 PM - 5:00 PM
KEYNOTE LECTURE

Technological transformation, economic and social change, and the rapid evolution of organizational and professional contexts require us to rethink our relationship with the future, with work, and with responsibility.

The keynote lecture by Massimo Recalcati will offer a reflection on uncertainty as a defining condition of our time, exploring how it is possible to continue designing, building, and caring in a context characterized by complexity and constant transformation. His contribution will focus on the value of responsibility, vision, and the ability to create meaning even when change makes future scenarios less predictable and the boundary between present and future increasingly fragile.

New Skills and New Collaborative Models

The transition towards an increasingly technology-driven and data-oriented sector requires new professional competencies and closer collaboration among all stakeholders. Planners, contractors, property managers, service providers, and clients must share languages, objectives, and responsibilities to ensure that decisions made during the early stages of projects take into account what will happen throughout the operational life of buildings and infrastructure.

This session will explore the skills needed to lead change and the collaborative models capable of integrating innovation, sustainability, and preventive management, fostering a more efficient, connected, and value-oriented ecosystem.

11:30 AM - 12:00 PM
KEYNOTE LECTURE

Technological innovation is profoundly transforming the world of work, organizational models, and the way we design, manage, and experience spaces. In this context, artificial intelligence and automation create extraordinary opportunities for greater efficiency, productivity, and service quality, while also raising critical questions about the future of human relationships, participation, and collective responsibility.

The keynote lecture by Don Vincenzo Paglia will offer a reflection on the human meaning of the ongoing transformation, encouraging participants to consider how innovation can be directed towards the common good and the enhancement of human dignity. His contribution will provide valuable insight into how technological change can be embraced without losing sight of the values that make progress both sustainable and inclusive.
